Why only the tagger can see you

A city game with live positions lives or dies on trust. That is why the most important rule of Tikkertje is also a privacy rule: there is always exactly one person who can see others on the map.

What you see depends on your role

Everyone plays in the same city, but not everyone gets the same map. Pick a role below and see what it shows.

A player sees who owns which area, and who the tagger is. Never where anyone is walking.

The role is the key

Positions are not a setting you switch on. They belong to the role. Swasi decides who becomes the first tagger. When you tag someone after that, the role passes on and the positions disappear from your map at that same moment. Anything your phone still held is wiped too. The new tagger takes over, and you can claim areas again.

The same goes for the organiser. An organiser follows the score, the areas and the evidence, but sees no positions unless they happen to be the tagger. Buying the game pass gives you no extra view of your friends.

No signal is no crime

Phones lose GPS now and then. So the tagger sees how old a position is, and the map shows a player without signal differently from someone with a fresh fix. If the deadline for the wrong half passes while you have no signal, that does not count as evidence against you.
